Eligibility for Accredited CPE Provider
Understand eligibility requirements and standards for organizations seeking to offer dental continuing education.
Criteria to become an Accredited CPE Provider
Applicants
Public healthcare institutions/ hospitals, dental societies/ associations, private healthcare institutions/ hospitals, and dental clinics are eligible to apply for accreditation.
Qualified instructors/ speakers
The instructors/ speakers must have the relevant experience to conduct the course.
Event/ Course Contents
Objective of the event/ course should be consistent to the goal/ mission of the CPE Programme.
Contents of the activities should be relevant to dental professionals.
Please exclude time taken for registration, breaks, lunch etc. in the calculation of the number of hours.
Hands-on courses (if applicable)
Depending on the type of hands-on courses, there should be a proper ratio of instructors to participants.
Non-commercial
Courses conducted should not be solely for the purpose of promoting any product.
Financial and Administrative Responsibilities
Providers have to assume the financial and administrative responsibilities in planning, publicising and offering relevant events/ courses to dental professionals.
Events must be publicised and opened to all dental professionals.
Validity of Accreditation
Accreditation of Providers is only valid for a period of 2 years. Renewal of accreditation will be done only for providers who have fulfilled the renewal criteria during their 2 years accreditation period. Please refer to the revised criteria for renewal of status for Accredited providers.
How to apply
CPE Providers wishing to apply for SDC's CPE accreditation should complete the online application form and attach a business profile.
The processing time is approximately 2 weeks.
