Call for Nominations for Singapore Dental Council Election 2024

Fully Registered Division I Dentists
CALL FOR NOMINATIONS FOR SINGAPORE DENTAL COUNCIL ELECTION 2024
An election is planned from 26 March 2024 to 1 April 2024 to fill the vacancies arising from the expiry of term of office for the following five (5) elected members on 31 April 2024:
(a) Dr Ang Ee Peng Raymond
(b) Dr Choo Keang Hai
(c) Dr Ng Fooi Chin
(d) Dr Ng Jing Jing
(e) Dr Tan Tien Wang
2. All Fully Registered Division I Dentists are invited to nominate not more than five (5) Fully Registered Division I Dentists who are resident in Singapore to stand for election. You must obtain the consent of the nominee when submitting the nomination1. The Minister for Health will appoint another five Division I Dentists and a minimum of one Oral Health Therapist to form the new Council. The new Council will assume office on 1 May 2024.
Nomination is by Email Submission only
3. The submission period for nominations is from Wednesday, 14 February (12 noon) to Tuesday, 5 March 2024 (12 noon).
4. If you wish to nominate a candidate to stand for election, please email the following documents to SDC@spb.gov.sg with the subject “Nomination for SDC Election 2024”:
(a) Completed Nomination Form; and
(b) Nominee’s Curriculum Vitae (CV).
5. The Nomination Form and template for Curriculum Vitae (CV) can be downloaded from the SDC website here.
6. Please note that late submission or submission by hand, courier, mail or fax to the SDC WILL NOT be accepted.
Preparing for the upcoming SDC Election from 26 March 2024 to 1 April 2024
7. The Election will be conducted online via the Professional Registration System (PRS) in March 2024. Please ensure the following:
(a) You are able to login to the PRS using Singpass.
(b) Your particulars are updated (e.g. preferred email address, handphone number, residential status, employment details) through the PRS .
8. Please be reminded that Voting is Compulsory for Div I Dentists:
(a) Who are fully registered;
(b) Residents in Singapore; and
(c) Holding a valid Practising Certificate.
