[Reminder to Dentists and Oral Health Therapists] Scam Alert – Stay Vigilant against Scam Calls or Emails
29 January 2024
Important security alert for dental professionals. Learn about recent scam attempts targeting dentists and oral health therapists, and get tips to protect yourself from fraudulent calls and emails.
Dear Dentists and Oral Health Therapists
The Singapore Dental Council (SDC) would like to clarify that it does not contact registered dentists and oral health therapists (OHTs) via telephone calls. SDC communicates with dentists and OHTs via emails sent from the SDC’s enquiry email address at SDC@spb.gov.sg on registration and practising certificate (PC) matters.
Dentists and OHTs are further advised to log in to the Professional Registration System (PRS) on the SDC’s website to check their registration and PC validity status.
SDC reminds dentists and OHTs to stay vigilant against scam calls or emails and do not click or scan suspicious links / QR codes. If you receive such scam calls or emails, you are advised to contact the Police at their anti-scam helpline at 1800-722-6688 or go to www.scamalert.sg.
